Areas & Activities
  • Product Management - Cabotage
    This area handles cargo transport services along the east coast of South America, developing differentiated products that meet the real needs of clients.
  • Sales - Cabotage
    This is the sales area for cabotage services for clients, constantly working to provide the maximum multimodal operations possible to establish the most effective relations with clients.
  • Product Management - Overseas Transport
    This area handles overseas cargo transport services, connecting Brazil to markets in the Gulf of Mexico, Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and Asia, developing differentiated products that meet the real needs of clients.
  • Sales - Overseas Transport
    This area handles activities involving direct contact with overseas transport clients, through external visits, canvassing, as well as identifying needs, characteristics and opportunities.
  • IT
    IT handles the Information Technology infrastructure coordinating maintenance and periodic updating for all of the offices.
  • Legal
    Legal coordinates legal and administrative procedures for the company. It elaborates and/or analyses supplier, collaborator and partnership contracts for the Group, registering and controlling contracts, renewals and adjustments of pricing for the same, and, developing analyses in specific subjects.
  • Claims
    Claims handles all Brazilian cargo damage or loss claims made by shippers or insurers against the company, as well as personal and material complaints from third parties for both cabotage and overseas transport.
  • Processes
    Processes maps and optimizes work flows developed by Hamburg Süd Group companies in Brazil.
  • Finance
    Finance administers financial resources for Hamburg Süd Group companies in Brazil.
  • Accounting
    Accounting manages, standardizes and monitors all accounting and taxation processes for the company, providing related technical support to the other company areas.
  • Human Resources
    Human Resources manages Personnel and Benefits, Training and Development, Recruitment and Selection, Remuneration and Coaching.
  • Controller
    The controller covers the areas of Performance Reporting, Market Analysis & Business Plan, SOR & Cost / Profitability Analysis and Administrative Controlling.
  • Documents
    Documents is the central control for emission of Bills of Lading and handling transmission and receiving of corporate system archives for later distribution to affiliates in Brazil and abroad. It manages the corporate document system, centralizes, creates, emits and controls instructions related to the areas of export, import and cabotage to ensure uniform procedures.
  • Operations
    Operations coordinates the arrival and departure of ships for the ports it handles including programming, in conjunction with port authorities, and pilotage and towing companies. It also handles selection and contraction of Port Terminals.
  • Logistics
    Logistics manages the fleet of company and leased containers, from logistical planning to providing equipment to clients. It also handles maintenance and repairs on containers and contract negotiation with suppliers.
  • Multimodal
    Multimodal manages multimodal transport activities, running door-to-door operations with clients through selection and subcontracting of road, rail and inland waterway service providers.
  • Administration
    Administration covers purchasing, reception and registration of documents, storage and expedition of office materials, overnight delivery services, mobile and fixed telephony, canteens and restaurants, civil works, maintenance and proper functioning for offices, etc.
  • Ship Management
    Ship Management maintains and repairs Aliança ships. It also controls movement of maritime employees, as well as recruitment, selection, training and development of these employees and social assistance for their families.
